These terms are the agreement between you and Boat Axis when you use boataxis.com. Please read them. By using the site, you agree to them.
The short version

- Our guides are research based and are not professional marine or electrical advice.
- We do not sell products. Purchases are between you and the retailer.
- You must be at least 13 to use the site.
- These terms follow the law of the State of California, USA.
Your agreement with us
By accessing or using boataxis.com (the “Site”), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. They work together with our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Disclaimer and Affiliate Disclosure. Together, these pages form the full agreement between you and Boat Axis.
If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Who can use the Site
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site. If you are under 18, you should use it with the permission of a parent or guardian.
What we provide
Boat Axis publishes buying guides, comparisons, reviews and how-to articles about boat electronics. Our content is free to read and is provided for general information.
We do not sell, ship or support any product. When you buy something through a link on our Site, you buy it from that retailer, under that retailer’s own terms, prices and return policy.
Not professional advice
Our content is not a substitute for advice from a qualified marine electrician, boat dealer or other professional. Boat wiring, fuel systems and safety equipment can cause fire, injury or damage if they are installed wrongly.
Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions, the rules that apply to your boat, and recognized standards such as those published by the American Boat and Yacht Council (ABYC).
Accuracy of information
We work hard to keep our information accurate, but manufacturers change specs, prices and models often. We cannot promise that every detail is complete, current or error free. Please confirm important details, such as dimensions and compatibility, with the manufacturer before you buy or install.
Links to other websites
The Site links to websites we do not control, including retailers and manufacturers. We are not responsible for their content, products, privacy practices or terms. Visiting them is at your own risk.
Comments and submissions
Where comments are open, you are responsible for what you post. By posting, you keep ownership of your words, but you give Boat Axis a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display, edit for length and store them on the Site.
We may remove any comment, without notice, that is spam, abusive, misleading, off topic or unlawful.

The text, charts, graphics and design of the Site belong to Boat Axis or its licensors and are protected by copyright law. Our Terms of Use explain what you may and may not do with our content.

The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Boat Axis will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or property, that result from your use of the Site or from any product you buy after reading it.
If we are found liable for anything, our total liability to you will not exceed 100 U.S. dollars. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
Your responsibility to us
You agree to protect and hold Boat Axis harmless from any claim or cost, including reasonable legal fees, that comes from your misuse of the Site or your breach of these terms.
Governing law

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term right away, we do not give up the right to enforce it later.
